International Dragonfly Fund (IDF) Our aim is to support projects dedicated to the exploration and protection of the dragonflies of our world and their habitats. Donations from our members or other persons are used 100% for projects serving these aims. To date (Dec. 2021), these projects yielded 167 issues of IDF report and 37 issues of "Faunistic Studies in South-East Asian and Pacific Odonata". In the context of IDF-funded excursions, 75 previously unknown dragonfly and damselfly species were discovered and described - this equals about 1% of all dragonfly species known in the world.

Objectives

Prime purpose of the IDF is the direct promotion of dragonfly research and dragonfly protection. In order to achieve these goals, the IDF promotes research activities in theoretical and applied areas, provided they are of outstanding importance for odonatology and measures concerning biotope and species protection.
